We are developing the on line resource of the Merger and Partnership Resource Centre to become a collaborative platform to share not just our merger information but also information from other mergers. This will facilitate the greater sharing of merger related information across the range of college mergers and federations.
The following terms and conditions apply to your access and use of the Merger and Partnership Research Centre (MPRC) website, owned and operated by City of Glasgow College (hereinafter referred to as ‘the College’.
No warranties are made as to fitness for purpose, quality or completeness of information. Although the College aims to ensure information contained in the site is correct at the time of issue, the College cannot accept liability for any errors or omission, or the consequences thereof. The resources contained on the MPRC site are provided on an "as is" basis and without any warranties. Although files are virus checked these cannot guarantee that files are free from computer viruses.
The College uses its best efforts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of information on the MPRC site. However, no guarantees are made that the information contained on the site or associated, or linked to websites is accurate, complete and current at any given time. Information presented on the site or associated sites may be changed at any time.
Although the MPRC site has been tested and should work correctly under normal circumstances there are many factors which may prevent it from being available to users. Access may be suspended without notice and no responsibility is accepted by the College for any losses that may arise from an inability to access resources on this site.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password which, together with your email address, allows you to access the MPRC site. Your email address and password, together with any other user information you provide, form your "Profile Information". You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself.
Your right to access and use the MPRC is personal to you and is not transferable to any other person or entity. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your Account or under your Profile Information. If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your Account or Profile Information, you are responsible for notifying the College immediately.
By providing us with your e-mail address, you agree to receive all required notices electronically, to that e-mail address. It is your responsibility to update or change that address, as appropriate.
The MPRC site enables you to provide or upload content. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for all content you upload and the consequences for uploading it.
The College will use the content you upload solely in connection with providing the MPRC service. You agree that by uploading content to the MPRC site, you grant to the College a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, process, display, all or any portion of such content, solely in connection with providing the MPRC services. This license includes the right to host, index, cache or otherwise format your content in order to provide the MPRC services.
You confirm that you own your content or have the necessary licenses and permissions to upload it to the MPRC site and that its provision to the MPRC site will not violate the copyright, intellectual property rights or other rights of any person or entity.
All intellectual property rights relating to the MPRC site other than your content, are and will remain the property of City of Glasgow College.
You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from the Website any material:
(a) that is threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, seditious, offensive, pornographic, abusive, liable to incite racial hatred, discriminatory, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, in breach of privacy or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience; or
(b) for which you have not obtained all necessary licences and/or approvals; or
(c) which constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise be contrary to the law of or infringe the rights of any third party, in any country in the world; or
(d) which is technically harmful (including, without limitation, computer viruses, logic bombs, Trojan horses, worms, harmful components, corrupted data or other malicious software or harmful data).
You may not misuse the Website (including, without limitation, by hacking).
The College shall fully co-operate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing the College to disclose the identity or locate anyone posting any material in breach of this notice.
Links to third party websites on the MPRC site are provided solely for your convenience. If you use these links, you leave the MPRC site. The College has not reviewed all of these third party websites and does not control and is not responsible for these websites or their content or availability. The College therefore does not endorse or make any representations about them, or any material found there, or any results that may be obtained from using them. If you decide to access any of the third party websites linked to the MPRC site, you do so entirely at your own risk.
City of Glasgow College reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the MPRC site and/or services with or without notice at any time and for any reason. The College shall have no liability whatsoever for any damages, liabilities, losses or any other consequences that you may incur as a result of any such modification, suspension or discontinuance.
The College reserves the right at any time, and without cost, charge or liability, to terminate this Agreement.
This legal notice shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scot law. Disputes arising in connection with this legal notice shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
